Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner is one of Dermalogica's top ten products. It is a must for everyone. It should be used directly after cleansing by spritzing 3-4 pumps covering the whole face and neck. The Dermalogica Toner range are unique insofar as they are designed to be left on the skin, so it is important that the skin is thoroughly cleansed before use. Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner is fragrance and alcohol free so your skin will feel refreshed and hydrated. It is an excellent way to get the most effective absorption of your moisturiser as it contains moisture binding proteins which act as humectants. Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is one of Dermalogica's most popular products. Daily Microfoliant has won several awards over its lifetime and is still in a class all of its own due to it's unique texture and formulation: there is no other exfoliant like it on the market.

Daily Microfoliant is unique because it is a rice based enzyme powder that is activated upon contact with water, which then releases Papain and Rice enzymes along with Salicylic Acid to smooth the skin and accelerate cell renewal. Dermalogica have developed a unique Skin Brightening Complex to help balance uneven skin pigmentation. The Rice Bran and Rice extracts help to regulate melanin production and gently microfoliate the skin which will also allow the Skin Brightening Complex to work into the skin more efficiently. Website Unable to Process Orders

We are very sorry to report that our website has been experiencing sever problems since around 12:00 today. There have been many problems with the website being very slow indeed. This problem was resolved around 16:00 today but then another issue occurred with our secure server. Without this working properly we have been unable to correctly process orders although we would like to thanks those customers who did persevere and managed to place their orders. Skin Care Problems: Milia

Milia are small white spots normally found on the face, more commonly around the eye area and on the upper cheeks. Milia are caused by a build up of sebum, and dead skin cells in the follicle of the skin. Milia can be caused through the use of products which contain mineral oil and lanolin. When used continuously over a period of time, these ingredients will start to build up on the skin's surface and prevent the skin's natural ability to exfoliate effectively. Milia which appear around the eye area may be caused if your moisturising product is being used around the eyes which will be far to heavy and rich for that delicate area of skin. We always advise a separate eye care product and to avoid facial moisturiser around the eyes. Skin which has had a lot of sun exposure, or regular use of a sun bed, will be more prone to Milia as the skin becomes thickened and therefore unable to function properly.

Dermalogica products are great to use as they do not contain lanolin or mineral oil. To treat Milia it is important to exfoliate regularly. Your skin type will dictate which is the most beneficial exfoliant for you to use. You can also go to a trained Beauty Therapist to have Milia removed with a sterile needle followed by extraction, or certain professional treatments such as microdermabrasion are also very effective.

Pure Beauty Online's Environmental Policy

Many of our customers have requested further information regarding our policy toward the environment. We have always been very concious about our approach to minimising our businesses impact on the environment and we published our beliefs and strategies from the beginning on our About Us page. We thought it maybe beneficial if we explained a little further on our blog.

Dermalogica Products
The Dermalogica products that you buy from us arrive in plastic containers and many in cardboard boxes. All of this product packaging is fully recyclable today and should be disposed of with your household recycling as normal.

Packaging and Filler
All of your products are sent in white cardboard boxes which are fully recyclable and the void filler we use to protect your items is a biodegradable filler made from starch. Polystyrene is not biodegradable and cannot be recycled. We do not use plastic bags to send your products.

Some customers have expressed a concern over the size of some of the boxes we use when ordering a small item such as an Eye Cream or Concentrated Booster. There are two reasons for this. Firstly we like to ensure that your products reach you in the best condition possible. Secondly we include within each parcel the Dermalogica Product Directory, your Dermalogica Samples and the delivery note. We can completely understand our customers concerns but everything we use is recyclable and we hope you would agree with our reasoning.

Delivery
Probably the largest impact our business has on the environment is due to the logistics of delivering your products to you. We took a decision early to use Royal Mail. This was due to the fact that Royal Mail already have the complete infrastructure in place. They have vehicles on the road moving post around the country and therefore adding to it can only reduce the card foot print of that journey. We decided that a courier means implementing a dedicated journey by a vehicle to deliver the parcel and that this was not as environmentally friendly.
