Skin Care Problems: Rosacea

Rosacea

If you think you might be suffering from Rosacea the signs and symptoms you should look out for are:
  • redness on the cheeks, nose and forehead
  • red broken veins
  • red lumps and bumps
  • general sensitivity
If you are suffering with any of the above signs and symptoms and think it could be Rosacea you should get a proper diagnosis from your doctor. Medication can be prescribed to help the condition and to prevent it from becoming worse. Unfortunately there is no known cure for Rosacea nor is there any known cause, but we can certainly help treat and keep the problem to a minimum with medication and the right use of skin care products.

Rosacea is more common in women over the age of 30 who are fair skinned and tend to blush or flush easily. Men do suffer with Rosacea and tend to have more severe symptoms.

Dermalogica have some very effective products to help to generally sooth, calm, reduce redness, desensitise and strengthen the skin which will help with the symptoms. It is important to use products that do not contain any irritating, aggravating, or harsh ingredients. We can confidently tell you that every product in the Dermalogica range is free from alcohol, lanolin, mineral oil, artificial colours and fragrances. These are all ingredients that are commonly used in skin care and make-up products which, in many cases, cause sensitivity, reactions, breakouts and other skin conditions, and should be avoided wherever possible.
