If you think you would like to try Barrier Repair always try a sample first. This will enable you to see if the product is going to suit your skin. If all is well, and your skin is quite normal - without any dryness or dehydration, then you should be fine to use Barrier Repair on its own after cleansing and toning. If your skin is dry or dehydrated, then you will need to use one of our Dermalogica Moisturisers as well. You should cleanse, tone, apply Barrier Repair then a suitable moisturiser. If your skin is very aggravated and irritated, then you can make a sandwich effect by applying Barrier Repair followed by your moisturiser and then Barrier Repair again over the top, to give your skin optimum soothing, healing and protection. If this feels too much during the day, and if you also want to wear make-up, then just use the sandwich effect in the evening when your skin has got all night to let the products do their work. It is important that you still try to use Barrier Repair in the morning as well, because your skin will need the protective and healing benefits during the day.

Dermalogica Precleanse

Dermalogica Precleanse is one of those products that comes along every now and again that is like nothing else you have ever used before, and a product that until you try it you will never know how good it really is.

When Dermalogica developed Precleanse they had concluded through much research that 8 out of 10 of us do not cleanse our skins thoroughly enough therefore leading to further skin problems. Dermalogica discovered that using a combination of specific oil based ingredients to cleanse the skin had a very effective way of lifting and encapsulating the skins natural oil secretions which also collect and hold dirt, grime, bacteria and make-up. They also discovered that when water was added to the product after being applied to the skin this would emulsify the product ensuring that it can be removed effectively without leaving a residue on the skins surface. The next important step after using Precleanse is to follow with your usual Dermalogica cleansing product because this cleanser is now able to work at its very best, ensuring your skin has been thoroughly cleansed. Precleanse is also fantastic to use as your eye make-up remover, especially waterproof mascara.

You only need to use Precleanse once a day at night because this is when your skin will have been exposed to the days elements, and any dirt and grime in the atmosphere will be lying on your skins surface, and also many of you will have been wearing make-up which all needs to be removed properly.

To use Precleanse pour a small amount into one hand then massage between both hands to warm and activate the ingredients. Massage Precleanse over the whole face and neck and over the eyes if wearing eye make-up. Do this for approximately 1 minute then wet your hands and continue to massage over your skin. You will see that the product will start to emulsify by turning to a milky consistency and this indicates its time to remove by rinsing off with water. It is then vital to follow with your usual cleanser.

Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner

Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner is one of Dermalogica's top ten products. It is a must for everyone. It should be used directly after cleansing by spritzing 3-4 pumps covering the whole face and neck. The Dermalogica Toner range are unique insofar as they are designed to be left on the skin, so it is important that the skin is thoroughly cleansed before use. Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner is fragrance and alcohol free so your skin will feel refreshed and hydrated. Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is one of Dermalogica's most popular products. Daily Microfoliant has won several awards over its lifetime and is still in a class all of its own due to it's unique texture and formulation: there is no other exfoliant like it on the market.

Daily Microfoliant is unique because it is a rice based enzyme powder that is activated upon contact with water, which then releases Papain and Rice enzymes along with Salicylic Acid to smooth the skin and accelerate cell renewal.
